Machined Part Features Library
This SUUXIANG library helps engineers move from a feature question to a more useful next article. Use it when selecting how a hole, thread, pocket, bearing interface or datum scheme should be defined on a drawing. Begin with the path that matches the decision still open, then use linked topics to test feature interactions.

Start With Drawing Intent
Choose this path when the main question is what the feature must accomplish, rather than how it will be made. Articles on datums, dimensions, geometric controls and surface callouts help turn an assembly need into inspectable drawing intent. Start here if a feature location, orientation or relationship to another surface remains uncertain. The first article should be the one addressing the reference scheme that the part and its mating components actually use.

Define Interfaces And Repeating Features
Choose this path for holes, threads, counterbores, pockets, shafts and bearing-related interfaces. These features are rarely independent: a locating bore may establish an axis, a shoulder may set axial position, and a thread may impose access or engagement considerations. Begin with the article closest to the mating part or purchased component. Then read the related interface articles before setting dimensions, fit language or acceptance criteria controlled by the applicable standard or engineering agreement.

Review Feature Interactions Early
Choose this path when an individual feature seems straightforward but the combination may complicate the part. Articles on wall transitions, deep cavities, intersecting holes, internal corners and access help frame a manufacturability conversation without replacing engineering requirements. Start with the interaction that could alter function or inspection. Compare alternatives against the drawing, material grade, process plan and planned measurement approach, rather than relying on a universal rule or a generic feature preference.
